In a Decision – B.T. v. S.J.L., (an Unpublished Opinion) >> the Court Held:
The Appellate Division affirmed the Family Part decision that granted a Domestic Violence Order where the former romantic partner sent numerous text, e-mail and social media messages (and used others as a conduit) to change her mind about communicating with him even though she broke off the relationship by ceasing communication and asking him to leave her alone and that she would seek a restraining order. The Appellate Division affirmed Domestic Violence, finding ample evidence to conclude defendant intended to annoy or alarm plaintiff by persisting in contacting her despite her clear desire to be left alone.
