The Appellate Division affirmed the Trial Court finding of Domestic Violence.
Plaintiff broke off a relationship with a married man who had slept with another woman. Plaintiff broke off the parties' relationship. Defendant began e-mailing and leaving voice messages for Plaintiff even though Plaintiff blocked Defendant and asked her to leave him alone. Plaintiff set forth that she went into ‘hiding’. Defendant had obtained false phone numbers to continue communicating with plaintiff after she blocked him.
The Appellate Division found substantial evidence to support the trial court's finding that defendant had committed harassment and that plaintiff was afraid of defendant and required a FRO for her protection from further abuse.
