In a Decision – Lall v. Shivani (a "Reported Decision") >> the Court Held:
The Court set forth that in the previous UIFSA statute, New Jersey, the State issuing the Order retained exclusive jurisdiction as to the Order and that in the present UIFS statute, New Jersey, the State issuing the Order may retain exclusive jurisdiction as to the Order if the parties consent.
Defendant maintains New Jersey subsequent Orders modifying child support (as previously determined in a New Jersey child support Order) must be vacated because she relocated to North Carolina where Plaintiff and the child reside.
